To African Bar and Grill, I ordered the oxtail, and oh my God, that was literally the best flavor I've ever had in my mouth! It's rare for anyone else to cook it the right way, but you guys made that taste pretty damn bomb! Keep it up!

I came here with a group of friends excited to try something new. I got a plantain fufu with a tomato stew, spinach stew, and tilapia. It was soooo good. I did try a friend's yam fufu and liked the texture a lot better personally but no complaints here still. I don't eat fish often (I am mostly plant based) but I'm glad I did here. It was crispy and delicious. Most things on the menu are vegetarian or vegan if you just don't add meat, but some are more filling than others I would say. The waitress taking our orders was so sweet and incredibly helpful for a group of people that naturally have a lot of questions, lol. She talked us through the menu structure and gave us plenty of time and options. We met both of the owners as well who were kind and funny, overall it was a great experience. The food and drinks are all on the pricey side, but I have to say I found that it was worth it and I would happily do it every now and then.

We tried this place recently after receiving rave reviews about African Grill from our daughter and son-in-law-(who should know-having tried cuisine from every African restaurant they could find since returning 10 yrs ago from a honeymoon Safari). Delicious entrees to explore from multiple African countries! Vegetarian options are available in most dishes, Meat is always an option. Gluten-free is always safe here, too, without fear of cross contamination. This is a proud, Ghana family owned business of 22 years whose family members have worked hard and expanded their restaurant over the years.

Restaurant is big and immersed with African decor. The experience starts the second you walk through the door with the scent of spices that accompany you on the way to your table. Food was absolutely delicious. Flavors translate as if you're eating a home cooked meal. Last but not least, the ladies who work there are phenomenal. Their hospitality is warm and welcoming. I didn't even order my drink or meal. I ask for a recommendation and she delivered exactly what we wanted. 10/10. I recommend.

I highly recommended this spot!!!! Everything was delicious, and the vibes were amazing. It's family owned and has been around for 20 years. I had the lamb spinach stew with fufu and the Ethiopian beer. Thank you, Sylvester and Theodora, for this great experience. The family and I will be back!!!!!!!!!

We ended up here because the original place we were planning to go to was closed. I'm so happy our original plan didn't work out because this place is phenomenal. My husband, a friend, and I shared: - Gingerbiss Juice - Ghana Must Go - Kelewele - Cabbage Lamb + Jollof Rice - Pounded Yam Fufu + Egusi & Goat - Ugali/Pap Oxtail Everything was packed with flavor. A couple of my favorite things were the Jollaf rice and the oxtail, but every single thing was incredible. I wasn't familiar with the cuisine, so I loved that they had a best dishes section of the menu. We also got some great recommendations from the employees. I will definitely be coming back here!

I am so grateful that fate brought my wife and I here for dinner. We had planned to go to an all you can eat sushi place. I'm so glad that sushi place ended up closed because that's when we pivoted to Africa Grill and Bar. The service was pleasant and accomodating. And the food was not only delicious but also unlike anything I've had before. My wife and I shared Gingerbiss Juice, Ghana Must Go (non-alcoholic), Kelewele, Cabbage Lamb + Jollof Rice, Pounded Yam Fufu + Egusi & Goat, Ugali/Pap Oxtail. I honestly couldn't tell you which I liked better because it was all so so exceptionally flavorful. As for the ambiance, the place is peaceful, quiet, calm, and decorated in African art.

Hidden in plain sight near the bowling alley, but be careful when they ask you if you like "spicy food". This is a must try place. It is quiet and focused on awesome food. There are so many options, so, definitely try to ask about everything. I ordered the spicy fufu with lamb - lights out. More research on my part needs to take place for the next visit.
